Spintec Installs at Epping Before Australian Gaming Expo

Electronic gaming company Spintec has been seeking a place in the Australian gambling market for some time. The first step towards that goal was completed with the installation of a gaming setup in a prominent Sydney club earlier this year.

More installations await as Spintec also gears up for a presence at the upcoming Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) in Sydney this August.

What is Spintec?

The Slovenia-based company was founded in 2010 with the goal of creating cutting-edge electronic table games for casinos and establishments that offer gambling options.

Spintec installed its first product called Karma in countries like Georgia and Slovenia. Karma was a compact gaming table that offered roulette, sic bo, craps, and baccarat on tables, with the option for customers to compete virtually or live from the gaming stations.

By 2012, Spintec had made its first installation in Macau and began expanding in the Asian market. Inroads were also made in Latin America and Europe.

The table game units are for sale in regulated markets. The modern technology-driven and standalone products are simple to use. In addition, features are offered that make the units attractive in today’s gambling establishments. They are typically installed in amphitheater-style setups.

Spintec Installs Aura at Epping

Spintec has pursued opportunities in the Australian market for some time. The company has now partnered with Australian distributor Independent Gaming to install its first amphitheater system in Australia.

The Aura gaming installation is one of Spintec’s latest product lines. This product subsequently offers more customisation, sleeker designs, and greater player comfort. Games featured include sic bo and craps. The setup was just what the Epping Club sought for its social club in New South Wales.

According to Spintec, the initial results of the installation in use at the Epping Club are “very encouraging.”

Spintec Regional Sales Manager Primoz Krsevan said: “We went through a very long certification process, our R&D team invested a lot of time and effort, and now we are very proud of what we have achieved.”

With that success, the company looks to expand further into the Australian market. Talks are currently underway with new partners about potential installations. Furthermore, Spintec is “very optimistic” about its plans.

Preparing for AGE

Next up for Spintec is to present the company’s products at the upcoming Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) in mid-August.

AGE just so happens to be taking place at Darling Harbour in Sydney this year from August 13-15. And it provides an opportunity for more establishments in Australia to see what Spintec has to offer.

Krsevan said as much. “This year’s AGE is very special to us, as we have finally entered into the market and started making the first footprints in the Australian gaming industry.”

The presentation will be Spintec’s signature amphitheater setup with virtual games on display, such as roulette, baccarat, and sic bo. The sample product will be the Karma 8, one of the very latest offerings.

AGE attendees will be able to sit at the games and try them out. For extra comfort, space is provided for drinks and other personal belongings, like smartphones. Attendees will see the various customisation options. They will also see research and statistics showing that the electronic table games keep players in their seats longer. Therefore, operators can expect to earn more potential revenue.

AGE Nears 30th Anniversary

The Australasian Gaming Expo was first hosted in 1990 and has grown with the gaming industry in the decades since. As it approaches its 30th anniversary in 2020, this year’s event will be an important one for attendees and speakers alike.

AGE calls itself the “cornerstone” of the gaming and hospitality industries in Australia and Europe. In fact, it refers to its position as being where “gaming, technology, and hospitality meet.”

The 2019 AGE will take place at the ICC Sydney Darling Harbour. The event begins on Tuesday, August 13 and runs through Thursday, August 15.

In addition to the exhibition from companies like Spintec, there will be seminars each day. Speakers include executives from companies like Scientific Games and SkyCity Entertainment Group. There will also be representatives from the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation and Liquor and Gaming NSW. There will be consultants and niche experts, representatives from nonprofits and law firms, responsible gambling organisations and psychologists.

The host of the event is the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA). This is the primary representative body for Australian gaming machine technology suppliers.

Spintec hopes to make a solid impression at the upcoming conference and gain a stronger foothold in the Australia market going forward.
